aBOUT YOUR DELIVERY

At pkgPlace, we're dedicated to ensuring your items are handled with care from the auction house to your doorstep. This commitment involves a comprehensive process that goes beyond simple transportation. Our team travels to multiple auctions to retrieve your requested deliveries. For nationwide deliveries, items require careful inspection, labeling, and often re-boxing or repairs to ensure they are secure for transit. We also factor in the cost of maintaining our own fleet of trucks for reliable local pickups and deliveries, as well as a fair wage for our dedicated staff who bring joy and professionalism to their work. These detailed steps and inherent operational costs are essential to providing the high level of service and care we promise for your valuable deliveries, and as such, they are necessarily reflected in our processing and delivery fees.

Timeframes

We cover the London and GTA region weekly; Ottawa and St. Cats bi-weekly; and when the packages are delivered through a 3rd party shipper, two plus weeks.

We continue to improve our timeframes where possible.

Returns

A return is a delivery. All fees and conditions apply. However, if pkgPlace originally delivered the items AND the return is at our convenience, a discount will be applied.

All pkgPlace standard pkg deliveries being returned are eligible for a discount up to 30% of the original shipping price. Larger items will have a reduced discount.

Oversized Items

Sofas, fridges, etc. These requests require special coordination and pricing. Reach out to us first. We are not a moving company and only deliver to the doorstep.

Billing

We collect delivery fees from the winning bidder. The auction house does not collect from the bidder's credit card nor do they pay us for the delivery.

Be Kind

If you are the type of person that wants to threaten legal action or social media negativity on us, then please do not bother us. You are wasting energy that is better used for your life elsewhere and we would rather use our energy on the customers that appreciate what we are trying to build.

Safety

The pkgPlace delivery team is inclusive of people from all walks for life. For their safety, we ask them to leave a situation immediately if they feel uncomfortable or intimiated in any way. There is always tomorrow for a delivery.

Damage to Items

We ship at 'shipper's risk'.

Insurance for Lost Items

We insure lost deliveries for up to $100 maximum per order. If you require greater insurance, please select the option when booking the order.

Non-payment

Items are held for 7 days If not paid for, we reserve the right to sell the items to recover the costs for pick up and storage.

Delivery Address

The address provided in your pkgPlace profile is the address we deliver to. If you require delivery to a different address, please make the change to customer profile for the delivery.

Quotes

If you send us the dimensions and weight and would like an estimate, not a quote, please forward them to us.

Tracking #

We do not provide tracking numbers for local deliveries, but do provide one in the order details found in the customer portal.

ATTENTION USA CUSTOMERS

Please note there will be additional charges for brokerage and government fees applied by UPS to the delivery. These fees are not related to pkgPlace.

Due to new tariff regulations, especially on products made in China, many items are no longer duty-free. These policies are set by your country’s customs authority, and we recommend staying updated on applicable import duties and taxes through official government sources prior to booking any shipment with pkgPlace.

We understand this can be frustrating, but it’s part of the import process and applies to all packages entering the country under these conditions.

TVs, MONOTORS AND OTHER BREAKABLES

In most situations, customers are purchasing returned merchandise. This means these items are handled numerous times along the way. Although some auctions do test items, it is impossible to properly test all. Due to these complications and with the limited original packaging, we are no longer offering insurance on these items. NON PAYMENT

Payment is due upon receipt. Any item(s) associated with an unpaid invoice will be considered abandoned if full payment is not received within seven (7) calendar days of the invoice date.
